Wild Horses of the Dunes
Wild Horses of the Dunes documents the beauty and the existence of the wild horses living on Assateague Island, a 23 mile long strip of land lying in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Maryland and Virginia.
These are the same animals made famous in Marguerite Henry’s classic children’s book Misty of Chincoteague and the annual Chincoteague Vol. Fire Department’s Pony Swim and Auction. I have been photographing these horses in the wild since 1995, publishing the images in calendars and national magazines.
Now these photographs are available to anyone in this beautiful coffee table book, published by Running Press. All of the photographs are also available as signed original gallery prints and for stock photography usage.
